The Association Trophy was awarded to the team with the best dual-match record in the regular season. The award was presented between 1942 and 2009.

Between 1942 and 1988,  there was no nine-player team championship tournament, and the national team title was based on dual-match records. During this period, the team with the best record in the regular season was also the national champion. In 1989, the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association, a precursor to the Men’s College Squash Association, started a separate team championship tournament. Since then, the team that wins the tournament’s “A” division is named the national champion. While the national title is no longer based on dual-match performance, the Association Trophy is awarded to recognize the team with the best regular season record.

Below is a list of the teams that finished each season with the best dual-match record. A list of national team champions can be found at Potter Cup.
