Hatfield, MA — For the week ending 11/20/2016, Hamilton’s Alex Regan and Western Ontario’s Pierce Masuara have been named the women’s and men’s Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week.

Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week should have a significant impact on his or her team’s performance during the prior week and demonstrate sportsmanship. Coaches and Sports Information Directors may nominate players.

Alex Regan (Hamilton College): In the opening match of her senior year, Alex Regan found herself in a challenging situation. The 21st-ranked Continentals found themselves tied 4-4 with 24th-ranked Wesleyan. Regan was down 0-2 in games to Wesleyan’s #4, Alexandra Imperiale. The Hamilton senior battled back to capture the individual match in five games (9-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7, and 11-7), giving her team the victory.

Pierce Masuara (University of Western Ontario): At the Cornell Round Robin, 23rd-ranked Western Ontario earned victories over 22nd-ranked Hobart and 18th-ranked Williams. The Williams match was incredibly close, with four of the nine matches going to five games. At the #9 position, junior Pierce Masuara was up 2-0 in games when Neel Jain came back to tie the match at 2-2.
