St. Lawrence UniversityCanton, NY — The St. Lawrence women surprised many with their dramatic improvement last season. Two seasons ago, the Saints finished 27th in the nation, but last year, they jumped 7 positions to finish the year as the 20th-ranked team. For this improvement, St. Lawrence was awarded with the Women’s College Squash Association’s Most Improved Team Award. This season, the Saints will look to continue their upward trajectory. They will once again play a challenging schedule, but with six additions to the roster, look for the team to build on its improvement.  The strength of last year’s squad was at the top of the lineup. The top 3 won 55% of matches, while the middle 3 and bottom 3 captured 17% and 34%. With the top 4 players from last season’s Team Championship ladder returning, look for the lower half of the line-up to improve. The Saints are not that far away from contending for the Walker Cup.
