New Haven, CT — Yale will have a young team this season. Only two of its top-nine players from last season will be seniors. According to head coach Dave Talbott, “We are in the middle of rebuilding our team after losing 4 seniors from our top 9 last year and excited at the challenge of grooming a relatively young team for what will be a very competitive season. We plan to build a really solid base with our underclassmen so we can give them the opportunity to win a national championship in the next two years.” Yale’s seniors, Shihui Mao, Issey Norman-Ross, and captain Anne Harrison have worked cohesively as a unit the past three seasons. “A team is only as strong as its leadership, and the senior class is a critical component of that,” states Talbott. The team will work with SquashHaven, the local NUSEA program. Each team member volunteers at least one hour per week with SquashHaven. Although the Bulldogs may be building for future seasons, do not count Yale out of the mix for the 2014 – 2015 season.
