Hanover, NH — Dartmouth dominated the Kurtz Cup competition last year, dropping only a single match en route to the B Division title. Now the Big Green are looking to move up. “The team is excited to return to the courts and compete this year,” says Stephen Cunha, a sports information director for Dartmouth. “After capturing the Kurtz Cup a year ago, the Big Green are looking to return to the A Division of the Women’s National Team Championships and to compete for a national title against the top eight teams in the country.” Dartmouth has kept its numbers of outgoing and incoming players in balance; two seniors have graduated, and three new players — Jacqueline Barnes, Madeline Fraser, and Hunter Sechrest — are joining the team. “As always the Ivy League schedule is a challenging one for Dartmouth and the team is looking forward to competing against some of the top teams and players in the country in conference and non-conference action,” says Cunha.
