Haverford, PA — Haverford head coach Niki Clement speaks highly of her team. “Haverford again this year is comprised of incredibly keen players who all have a serious desire to improve, and I as a coach feel very lucky to have a group like that,” she says. This year’s squad will be led by co-captains Randee Johnson and Caroline Nightingale, and will see the addition of five new players. Four of the newcomers will be joining the team after coming off training from other sports. This group includes sophomore Avery Weisel and first-year players Alyssa Kaden, Sara Madigan, and Emily Simpson. Bethany Simmonds, who played in the top 4 at the Westover School, is another first-year addition to the team and is expected to play in the top 3. Says Clement, “The Haverford women’s team has come a long way in improvement and understanding of the game; this season I think you will see the effects of this, along with how much they truly enjoy the game.”
