Lancaster, PA — Most of the buzz surrounding F&M squash in recent years has focused on the men’s team, who moved up into the A Division two years ago. But the F&M women have quietly — and steadily — been improving. They won the 2011 Walker Cup in dramatic fashion, and they were even stronger last season under the direction of new head coach Gavin Jones, finishing 7th in the B Division. This time around, the Diplomats will be without perennial number 1 Morgan Smith and fellow 2012 grads Gabby Robinson, Tanya Arora, and Alexandra Woods. However, the heart of the line-up will be back along with seven new players. Among the newcomers, Emily Caldwell is expected to play in the top 3, and  Cris Margaret Frias, Jazmin Matos, and Dana Rapisarda should find spots in the top 9. With more depth, F&M should be able to put more pressure on other B Division teams this season. As hard as they work, the Diplomats always seem to have a good time. “We are a fun, hard working team that enjoy training, playing matches and enjoy hanging out together,” says Jones. Fans can also look forward to more epic introductions by Associate Head Coach Ron Epps.
