Hartford, CT — The 2012 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) College Squash Championships were held last weekend at Trinity College and Wesleyan University.  Trinity maintained their streak by capturing the men’s and women’s titles again this season.

In the women’s tournament,  Bates College finished as the runners-up. The Bobcats defeated Bowdoin in the quarterfinals to face Williams in the semifinals.  Bates defeated Williams 5-4 to advance to the finals.

In the quarterfinal match, Bowdoin’s Torey Lee and Bates’ Nessrine Ariffin played the match at the #1 position. Both players are first-year students and will likely face each other numerous times each season for the next few years.  At the NESCAC Championships, Ariffin won in three games (11-6, 11-3, and 11-3).
