Cambridge, MA — At the 2011 Men’s College Squash National Team Championships, Kenyon and Vanderbilt played in the semifinals of the Chaffee Cup (“E” Division).

To set up the semifinal match, Kenyon defeated Boston College, 5-4, while Vanderbilt defeated Haverford, 6-3.

In the semifinal match, the match at the number 9 position was between Kenyon’s Robert Mueller and Vanderbilt’s Bret Van Den Hooff.  The two played a close first game with Van Den Hoof escaping with a 11-9 victory. He went on to win the final two games, capturing the match in three games (11-9,11-3, 11-7).

Vanderbilt defeated Kenyon, 5-4. They went on to win the Chaffee Cup against MIT. Kenyon defeated California to finish 3rd in the bracket.
