Princeton, NJ — At the 2011 Women’s College Squash National Team Championships (Howe Cup), Princeton and Yale played in the semifinals of the “A” Division.

Although Yale won the team match 6-3, all of the matches were extremely competitive.  The match at the number eight position was no exception. In the first game, Yale’s Gwendoline Tilghman roared to an 11-3 victory over Princeton’s Casey Cortes. Not to be outdone on her home courts, Cortes won the second game. The match went to five games and Cortes escaped with the win (3-11, 11-5, 10-12, 11-9, and 11-5).
