Princeton, NJ — The 2011 Women’s College Squash Team Championships were filled with exciting matches; however, the Howe Cup (“A” Division) final was a match for the ages.  It featured Yale and Harvard, the number one and two ranked teams in the country, who had just faced one another in the final match of the regular season.  In that match, Yale returned to New Haven with a 5-4 victory.

The Howe Cup final lived up to the hype.  Like the regular season contest, it went down to the wire. Yale won 5-4 to conclude an undefeated season, which featured the Ivy League title.

Below is video of the match between the #1s, Yale’s Logan Greer, the 2011 Richey Award winner, and Harvard’s Laura Gemmell. This match, a back-and-forth contest between two of the strongest players in the nation, epitomized the match between the two teams.
