Hanover, NH — At the 2011 Women’s College Squash Association Individual Championships, George Washington’s Kelly Barnes and Princeton’s Katherine Giovinazzo played in the round of 32 of the Holleran Cup (“B” Division).

Barnes, a first-year student, defeated Mount Holyoke’s Shaheen Madraswala in the round of 64 to advance to face Giovinazzo, the Holleran Cup’s 3rd seed. Giovinazzo, a junior, defeated Barnes in three games (11-4,11-7,11-8).  She went on to capture the Holleran Cup with victories over Randima Ranaweera (Mount Holyoke), Gwendoline Tilghman (Yale), Samantha Buechner (Stanford), and Princeton teammate Alexandra Sawin.
